The City of Messina, by resolution of the City Council No. 69/C of the 27/09/2012, established the The Tourism Tax in force since 25/10/2012.
The tourism tax applies per person per night on overnight stays of non-residents in the town of Messina, up to a maximum of 5 consecutive nights.
They are exempt from children up to the age of sixteen years of age.
Funds raised will help the City to improve quality of tourism and to improve service in the area.
